We drive into the centre of the city and the first thing I notice is how clean it is compared to Lima, also the drivers seem a lot better, no aggressiveness just regular calm motorists.
We walk around everywhere and spend a good few hours just seeing the sights; we even go up one of the large hillsides to get a birds eye view of the city.
This tour is far superior to the Lima one I had yesterday, it had everything I wanted; an informative guide, visiting all the major buildings in the city, lots of walking around and all in a limited amount of time.
When the tour finished I get dropped of at the airport and check in for my flight to Easter Island. After that I go though passport control and get something to eat. Food options are very limited so opt for a pizza.
The flight to Easter Island is just over five hours and I pass the time watching a couple of films. When we arrive I collect my bag and meet Dina the person from my hotel (Tauraa Hotel). After a short drive I arrive at my hotel check in and settle in to my room, as it is late and dark I decide to wait until the morning before exploring the local area.

This was in May 2010… Three months ago we had in Chile a terrible earthquake 8.8 grades Richter… did you feel any replica when you stood in Santiago?
Santiago (and Chile of course) was just recovering from the destruction at that time
